Get Fit During Quarantine (Episode #104)
Everything seems to be crazy these days and we all seem to be baking and eating more batches of cookies than ever before. This is why Family Looking Up has gotten together a fun 8 week challenge to get your body and sanity back during the quarantine. The main goal for this great program is “Every day better than the last.” It’s not a weight loss scheme or fad diet. It is just finding moderation and honoring our bodies by giving strength to it emotionally, mentally as well as physically. It’s always more fun when we are supporting each other. I am in and I hope you will join me! I can’t wait for you to hear how this all works!
Meet today’s returning guest: Beth Milward. Beth is one of the hosts of the Family Looking Up Podcast. She is a married mom of 5 children and currently lives in Colorado. She has had experience as a fitness instructor and loves to exercise. Her enthusiasm is contagious! Come get to know her!

Show Notes:
Here is a quick run down of what we talked about with Beth on the podcast: Family Looking Up Gets Fit!
Everyday better than the last
Daily goals:
64 oz of water
30 mins exercise
Sugary treats aim for once a week
Gratitude Journal (3 things)
Behavior Changes (here are some little ideas)
praying more
reading your scriptures daily
quit yelling at kids
stop biting nails
Beth’s Ideas for putting more veggies into your diet:
Make a hamburger salad instead of having it on a bun
Eat spaghetti squash or broccoli with sauce on top instead of noodles
Set a stop time for when you’re done eating at night:
Ideally give yourself 3 hours before you go to bed so your body has time to digest to give you better sleep and more time to heal before the next day.
Bonus Challenge:
This is related the eating or exercise- you’re just taking it to the next level. Such as running more than 30 minutes a day because you’re training for something or adding in some other kind of extra.
Mom Win- write down something you are proud of yourself for that probably won’t be celebrated by the rest of the family
Weigh in - not if you feel shamed or upset, just a measuring tool to keep you on track if you want to
