Baked BBQ Chicken Wings

I love the BBQ sauce on this wings. I use a very similar sauce in our ribs recipe. If you haven’t had those, you’ve got to give them a whirl! We’re looking forward to eating these wings as we watch the Super Bowl this Sunday.

4 lbs of frozen chicken wings

1 cups ketchup

1/2 cup Green Roasted Herdez Salsa

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 F degrees. Line baking sheet (with a lip around the edge) with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray. Place chicken wings on the baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Bake for 25 minutes. While it is baking, mix together remaining ingredients to make a bbq sauce. At 25 minutes, flip over all the wings and brush with BBQ sauce. Stick in for another 10 minutes, turn over the wings again and baste with sauce. Stick back in for 10 minutes again. (Wings should have baked for about 45 minutes at this point.) Take them out and brush them heavily with BBQ sauce. Save remaining sauce for dipping.

These wings go along really nicely with our 7 Layer Bean Dip. Enjoy!!
