How to Make GAK - not so sticky slime!
Making Gak is a great sensory activity for kids. Before you jump in, you do need to prepare yourself just a bit. It’s not as sticky as slime, but it can be a bit messy- which makes it even more fun, right?!
What you can do with it:
squeeze it
roll it
cut it with scissors or plastic knives
stick beads in it
color on it with markers (get your down set of cheap markers just for gak so you don't ruin your good ones)
make shapes with cookie cutters
fun to play with plastic animals in it, and so much more.

Ingredients:
2 cups glue (we use Elmer’s school glue)
8 TBSP borax
4 cups water
food coloring (optional)
glitter (optional)
markers (optional)
Directions:
Mix 2 cups white glue with 1 1/2 cup water. Stir until completely mixed.
In another bowl, mix 1/2 cup water, (add food coloring and/or glitter here if you want), and 2 TBSP Borax Soap.
Pour Borax mixture into the glue mixture and stir. Pull out the gak as it coagulates, and put it to the side.
Mix another solution of water and borax and pour into the remaining glue mixture. Stir and pull out.
Continue until the glue mixture is gone. Do not put on paper towels - it will really stick.
Store in a plastic bag.
Make sure you seal it up really well when you are done using it. You can store it in the fridge for later.
If it happens to get on the floor or in someone's hair, clean it up fast! The longer it sticks, the harder it is to clean.
