Seek Christ Daily in Simple Ways (Episode #140)
Sometimes I get so caught up in the whirlwind of family life, that I miss the little moments of connection that I desperately need to keep me close to heaven. I loved talking with Sheena Perron, creator of @seek.christ.daily , about how she finds little ways individually, in her marriage, in her family and through service to keep Jesus Christ in her mind and thoughts during the day.
If you feel like you can barely do one more thing, but know you really need a change, listen to this episode. Some of her ideas take just 5 minutes and make such a huge difference: “by small and simple things are great things brought to pass” (Alma 37:6).

Show Notes:
How can we Seek Christ Daily in these 4 areas?
Individually: Start small. Take 5 minutes a day and read your scriptures, or listen to a hymn, or watch an inspiring video on YouTube. Alma chapter 37:6 “by small and simple things are great things brought to pass”.
In Our Marriage: “Don’t worry about what your spouse is doing or not doing, you just do your best, because a lot of times, how we seek Christ looks really different. Be loving to your husband no matter what and just focus on you.” - Sheena Perron
In Our Family: “Keep it simple and find what works.”- Sheena Perron
For her family, having scripture study right before dinner works really well. Sheena’s mother in law used to pray for a teaching moment everyday with her kids. Sheena loves doing that.
Through Service: “Be aware of the people around you so you can serve them.” There is a wonderful talk from October 2020 General Conference by Michelle Craig called “Eye to See” that is such a great inspiration for serving others.
“It may be small, but if you feel prompted, do it!!” - Sheena Perron
